Watertown-based WiTricity Corp. has been granted patents in Japan and South Korea. The company’s technology transmits electricity through the air for charging electronics and electric cars. The Boston Business Journal reports the patents are related to the venture-backed company’s wireless energy transfer technology, which WiTricity says is being implemented by major manufacturers around the world to recharge car and cell phone batteries.
