Just posted another bio of one of this year’s IDEAS Boston speakers on our website, http://www.umb.edu/ideasboston/. Including our moderator, we’re up to 14.
Registration opens next week (June 10) for the October 20, 2011 conference. Tom Ashbrook, host of On Point on WBUR, will once again be moderating, but there are some changes. This year, IDEAS Boston is moving to its new home on the University of Massachusetts Boston campus.
“We welcome IDEAS Boston to its new home at the University of Massachusetts Boston,” Chancellor J. Keith Motley says. “We see IDEAS Boston as another way in which we can foster the collaborations that help keep our region in the forefront of innovation and ingenuity. ”
Conference director Kathy Plazak adds: “IDEAS Boston needed a permanent home, and UMass Boston is ideal. [A]s the area’s public university and a research institution that itself is focused on developing big ideas, UMass Boston is the perfect convener and host. ”
